The Event

On August 18th YTFS (Your Total Fitness Shop) will be bringing Rich Froning to CrossFit 540, to WOD, hang out, and compete against a few lucky (or unlucky) individuals.

Rich Froning has taken the crossfit world by storm after nearly winning the 2010 Games and then comfortably winning the 2011 Games.  He is currently heavily favored to win the 2012 Games as well. As the 'sport of fitness' continues to grow at an exponential rate, so does its biggest star.

For roughly 5 hours, Rich will hanging out, meeting members and guests alike, and showing off his fitness prowess by performing one of 540's benchmark wods....the 540.

$25 dollars will get you in the door, and also get you a sweet T.  Extra T-Shirts will be on sale for the price of $20 as well.  You will also have the option of getting to test your meddle in doing 'the 540' your self.  We will be running heats throughout the day.  (Dont worry... we will draw to see who works out with Rich before we start the heats!)

By purchasing a $5 raffle ticket that will be going to help a family in need, you will be entering for a chance to be able to workout yourself with Rich.  Also going up in the raffle will be signed gear from the man himself.

You can register online at http://www.register-wizard.com/.  Click on the 'Upcoming Events' tab on the bottom right and look for the CF540 logo.
By signing up online you are also signing up for a T Shirt.
After entering your info, you will have the option of signing up for another shirt or the Charity raffle to enter the chance to wod with Rich or win signed gear.  You will also need to select whether you would like to do the workout yourself as well.

We will have Door registration as well but cannot guarantee to have a Tshirt for you with that option!

Who are we helping?

The Capps family has been a part of our little 540 family almost from the beginning.  And since we do look at each other as family, we want to do anything we can to help each other out.  When this opportunity to help a cause came to us, it seemed only natural to do everything we could to fill a need so close to home.

All of the proceeds from the raffle (chance to wod with Rich and win signed gear) will go to the Capps family and a portion of the general admission will go to help them out as well.

Hello, my name is Sophie Anne Capps, I am 2 years old. I am one of millions of children who have been diagnosed with childhood Asthma.  The severe asthma attacks have weakened my lungs to the point that I now have acute pneumonia. I get really scared when I can’t breathe. My illness has caused me to have to be in and out of the hospital several times in the last year. I have to go to the doctor all the time and take lots and lots of medicine. I will be undergoing more tests over the next few months with the Acute Disease Immunology Specialist at Children’s Hospital. As you probably know, all these doctor visits, blood tests, hospital stays, medicine, and missed work for my mom and dad costs a lot of money.  My family appreciates your help, but most of all, please pray for me and all the other children that suffer from Asthma. It is very scary when you can’t breathe.
